I would like to take this opportunity to invite you to experience a day in the Sixth form. This ‘taster day’ takes place on the Wednesday 4 July and Friday 6 July. This event is open to all students and is designed to ensure you make the right decision about the subjects you will choose to study at Advanced Level.

The event will begin at 8.30 am in the main school hall and the final session will finish at 1.10 pm. You will be able to follow a programme of sample AS level lessons in your probable subjects and you will also be able to talk to subject specialist teachers if you have any detailed questions about your possible options. This experience should form an important part of the decision making process for next year. Due to a field trip that is taking place, we can only offer the Travel and Tourism taster lesson on the Wednesday, please consider this when selecting the day to attend.

Please complete the slip below, it is really important to keep a copy of the choices you have made on this form, as this will be the basis of your timetable for the taster day. All students are expected to choose 4 different subjects to experience. Returning this letter forms the next part of the registration process, so please ensure that the slip below is returned to school by Friday 29 June.
