Welcome to a new academic year
It was very unusual for me to see the Year 6 pupils set off this morning to Manor Adventure. I know that they will have a very memorable time and return home ready to start Year 6 with a set of new skills and experiences.( and they will be able to tidy their own bedroom!!!)
I am looking forward to welcoming all the pupils back to school tomorrow and the new Foundation children who will begin their educational journey with us over the next 3 days.
This year we will be meeting with the Local Authority to plan the future expansion of Hawkedon School as we prepare to become a 3 form entry school capable of accommodating 90 pupils in each year group.
Work has started today on refurbishing the modular building which the Earleybird Preschool used to use. This will become our Family Centre which we hope will open after the half term ( or sooner)
I will also be thinking of the pupils who will be starting at their Secondary School this week.
I will be starting my weekly blog on Friday, please take a look at the Year 6 Manor blog which will be updated each day.
