	FAMILY CENTRE NOW OPEN EVERY WEDNESDAY MORNING Hi Everyone We are very excited to announce that 3Ts and P-CAN are combining so that the Family Centre will now be open every Wednesday morning from 9-10am for everyone! Please pop in, have a cuppa, ask questions, find solutions and meet other parents. There is a private room if you have a confidential issue, or you can book an appointment for another time. 	Family Centre Hi Everyone A quick update: AYFC is now up and running and officially open! We ran our first workshop from the centre just before half term Emotional, Social and Persistence Coaching: it was well attended and the centre created a relaxed, comfy atmosphere. <<<<<< A link to the power point from the workshop is on the left We are planning more workshops in the Summer Term; please keep checking the notice board, website and you child's book bag for details. I am usually in the centre on Tuesdays, if you have any questions/suggestions, pop in for a cuppa or email me to arrange a convenient time for you. 	HAPPY CHRISTMAS TO YOU ALL !! We have had a busy Autumn term; the Alan Youd Family Centre (AYFC) is now open and we are beginning to take bookings. Please look out for the AYFC Open sign in the kitchen window of the centre. This means I am in and available for chat and coffee....please feel free to drop in anytime you see the sign...I'll have the kettle on! The workshops we ran at the beginning of term for F2 parents were well attended and, judging from the evaluations, well received. Another is planned for 7th February Emotional, Social and Persistence Coaching Initially, this will go out to F2 parents but if spaces are available, we will roll it out to all of KS1. Depending on funding and demand, we are looking at running more workshops for parents with older children later next year. The first Stay and Play sessions have been enjoyed by parents, children, Emma and myself! Looking forward to more fun in the New Year :) Photos from the most recent 3Ts; What to do with your turkey left-overs demo have been posted on the left. The food tasting was great, thanks to Anne Marie for organising. More 3Ts dates will be posted in the New Year I think that's all for now....bar saying.... 	Autumn Term News Hi Everyone We are well into the Autumn term and it's been a busy one so far! The 'Helping Your Child Settle at Hawkdon' workshops for F2 parents were fun, interactive and well attended. Judging from your evaluation forms, most of you found them informative and helpful. Hawkedon's new Family Centre will be ready on 7th November, yay! We will be able to use it from that date although there is a grand opening planned for the New Year. If any of you have any suggestions for it's use, please post them here or contact me. The last 3Ts session to be held in the dining hall was buzzing with questions from parents. Please check book bags or click the link on the left for answers to most of them! The next 3Ts Coffee morning will be on 30th November......our first one to be held in the Hawkdon Family Centre :) It will have a Christmas theme. Stay and Play sessions will be running for F2 children and parents throughout the year. If you have returned your sign up slip, please check book bags for your session dates. 	Summer Term Hello Everyone :) Hope you all had a happy, sunny Easter break and enjoy the next long weekend and Royal celebrations. 	WEBSTER STRATTON COURSE CELEBRATIONS! Many congratulations to all the parents on our recent Webster Stratton Course. It was a pleasure working with you all. The course aims to promote positive behaviours in school age children by providing parents with a 'tool box' of ideas and strategies that can be used if and when needed. A fab time was had by all! Amongst the fun, food, laughter and a few tears, we discussed and problem solved many issues faced by all of us who have the priviledge of raising children. 	Plans for 2011 Hello again! We already have planned two 3Ts coffee mornings involving a cooking demo; promoting healthy relationships (19.1.11) and a focus on AS (Autism spectrum: 16.2.11). 	3Ts cooking demo We have just enjoyed our second cooking demo at 3Ts, these have been well attended (probably the thought of fresh cooked food.....), informative and good fun! Hopefully there will be more next year so if you haven't managed to get to one yet, I'd encourage you to pop in....even if it's only at the end for the food sampling!!...we won't hold that against you :) Any comments/suggestions for our 3Ts mornings would be very welcome.
