Extended Services
Wescott is proud to be an Extended Services School. We form part of the Wokingham Town East Extended Services Cluster which comprises: All Saints Primary School, Keephatch Primary School, Southfields School, St Crispin's School, St Teresa's Catholic Primary School, The Holt School, Wescott Infant School and Westende Junior School.
What are Extended Services?
Extended services have a key role to play in achieving the "Every Child Matters" (ECM) outcomes and the goals set out in the Children's Plan.

"Every Child Matters" is the Government's aim for every child, whatever their background or their circumstances, to have the support they need to achieve five core outcomes:-

Extended services are the delivery mechanism for the well-being of all children and young people.
What is an extended school?
Extended schools provide or signpost to, a range of services outside of school hours for primary and secondary school age children, their families and the local community. These include access to childcare, activities and support for learning.
By September 2010, all schools will provide access to a full range of services - some will be free but others, like childcare, will be charge for. Extended school services are designed to help you balance work and family commitments, support your children with their studies and give them a broader range of experiences and interests.
