Mayfield School Council
Hi
Our latest meeting that we had on 10 November 2010 went well. We discussed lots of things from girls owning the courts to the next disco.
We discussed about the disco on 21 October. I hear that it went very well! We found that maybe 1 ½ hours is too short and that not many year 8 are attending as there are lots of year 6s running around!
We also spoke about girls owning courts on Thursdays and to are concern we have found that it is going quite nicely. There are not many girls using the courts so we would like them to start using it as it is their opportunity to use it as you say the boys are dominating the courts with football.
In music all classes are rehearsing Christmas songs as the Christmas carol service is on the 13 of December.
We have had lots of book club leaflets been handed out so far this year and Mrs Ody has been very impressed of the amount of people who have been buying books from the leaflets.
We went red on Thursday. Year 6 wore red for the fire fighters square 2 square. Years 7 and 8 went red for ssafa (which stands for soldier’s sailor’s airmen family association.) appeal. Find more about theses appeals on the internet.
The family Friday activates like pottery and chocolate making are going very well. Lots of people are taking part in different activities.
