Developing philosophical thinking in young children
 
This course is suitable for for EYFS/Year 1 practitioners
 
Philosophy for Children aims to encourage children (or adults) to think critically, caringly, creatively and collaboratively.
 
It helps teachers to build a”community of enquiry” where participants create and enquire into their own questions and “learn how to learn into the process” ( SAPERE)
 
Participants will have the opportunity to develop practice that supports children creatively by developing the opportunity to question and explore issues, concepts and ideas that are important and relevant to their lives. 
 
The cost of this course is £20.

Observing children’s Well being and Involvement 

 

The course will equip practitioners with the skills to observe and assess children’s well being and involvement.
 
Participants will leave the course with increased knowledge of the well being and involvement scales, improved observational skills and a deeper understanding of how the emotional and physical environment can affect children’s well being and involvement.
 
The cost of this course is £30.
