International Work
at Carlton Hill
We have recently received the International Schools Award,
in recognition of all the
international work we do.

We have an active partnership with St Philip’s School in Kenya. See a video of Iris in Year 3’s visit in Summer 2010 here.

All pupils from Years 3-6 learn French and we have set up some successful links  with French schools.

The highlight of the school year is, for many, our International Week when each class learns about a country in depth. Towards the end of the week, each child gets the chance to visit all the other classes and find out what they’ve been learning about. On the last day is the International Feast when we all enjoy food from different countries and cultures. This year we raised money so that our friends at St Philip's School in Kenya could enjoy a feast as well.

Below are some photographs of one of our pupils who visited St. Philips in August 2010.
