Quality Improvement in Learning and Teaching (QuILT)
 
QuILT is a modular Quality Assurance scheme, developed by Brighton & Hove Education Authority for settings that provide care and education for children in the Early Years Foundation Stage.
 
Areas of Quality
 
Modules are based on the 'dimensions of quality' developed by the 'Effective Early Learning' programme.
 
The modules are:

  • Learning and Teaching Strategies
  • The Learning Experiences
  • Observation, Assessment and Planning
  • Parental Partnership, Home and Community Liaison
  • The Physical Environment
  • Relationships and Interactions
  • Staffing
What is involved?
 
The QuILT process involves information gathering, action planning, implementation, evaluation and moderation.
