Welcome to George Palmer Primary School

The focus of the School
At George Palmer Primary School we are committed to shaping the lives of all our pupils towards building the best future for our children and the communities in which we live.

Gardening Club has returned!
Bring the family to help us in our gardens.
Next session is on Saturday May 18th 10-12.

World Book Day
What happened at George Palmer on World Book Day? We seem to have been invaded by Where's Wally and a host of other characters from books! Who was the real 'Where's Wally?'
Here the children are working on writing their own book. They have Where's Wally's sister Wenda teaching them! http://www.worldbookday.com/

Year 1 trip to Rushall Farm

On Tuesday 26th February Year 1 spent an exciting (and rather cold) day at Rushall Farm. We were lucky enough to see some early lambs, calves, donkeys, Camilla the pig and chickens. Here you can see us looking at the cockeral's different feathers. There was time to collect things in the wood and even play at being blue tits.

 Christingle and the Nativity Play

Once again we held or Christingle service at Christchurch. Year 3 and 4 performed by using music and movement. As usual the church was well attended by families and carers of the children. Above are some of the children who appeared in the nativity play.

Family Gardening Club is usually on the third saturday of the month. Bring the family along and help us grow our plants. The plants we grow are used to help supplement our school dinners with home grown vegetables.

Aspire2B day this year was on 28th September 2012. The children came to school dressed up as the people they aspired to be like when they grew up. Below are some of the aspiring workers at play. Aspire2B is a special day when we support our local charity Aspire2. Aspire2 has raised over £240,000 over the last five years which has been used to support a wide range of local projects and programmes. Funds raised on Aspire2B day are split between the school and the charity. Click here for Aspire2 link
