In the Nursery, children attend for half a day. There are a maximum of 26 children per session. If you wish your child to attend the Nursery, fill in an application form and bring it to the school office. Applications will be accepted once a child has reached the age of 2 years and 6 months.
There are two classes per year group and the standard number per year group for the school is 60. If the number of applications for the school exceeds this number the following criteria will apply in the order stated:
- 'Looked after' children.
- Children who have strong medical or social grounds for admission.
- Children whose home address is in the area served by the school.
- Children who have brothers/sisters attending the school.
- Children whose parents have any other reason for their choice.
If the school does not have places for all the children in one of the above categories, priority will be given to those who fulfil more than one of the admission criteria.
Late applications will only be considered if the number in that year group is below 60.
Places will not be reserved for pupils moving into the area or who return after an agreed period of extended holiday.

Applications for the Nursery are dealt with at the school office. Acceptance at the Nursery does not guarantee a place at school as the designated areas and admission criteria are different.
