Severe Weather

In the Event of Severe Weather there is a real possibility we all may face icy and snowy conditions over the coming weeks. We have a duty to endeavour to keep the school open during such events. However, in the event of severe weather the school will:

• Assess the situation on the morning of the event, looking closely at weather forecasts. This will include assessing the number of staff present, whether we can heat the school and provide school dinners, whether water is available and toilets are working satisfactorily.
• Endeavour to make a decision about closing or staying open by 08:00 on that morning.
• Communicate this information through this web-page and through local radio.
