Students are encouraged to participate in a variety of celebrations of language and culture, including the annual Festival of Languages and Sport, Post 16 MFL Conference, KS2 celebration day amongst others.    We offer Language Evening classes in French, Spanish and Italian to the local community and encourage our families to come along to taster language sessions such as the family Spanish class. Additonally, we offer extra curricular and enrichment language courses in Japanese, Arabic, Russian, Polish and Dutch.   Our outstanding Faculty offer teacher training events, helping to make SHS a centre of excellence for MFL teaching. Our Advanced Skills teachers provide outreach to other schools and professional development opportunities for visiting teachers.
