A visit from and to Park Lane
Since ferderating with Park Lane our school councillors have never met! So we have invited them to come and visit our wonderful school and have a chat on how we do things here at Moorlands. Similarly Park Lane's school councillors have invited us over there to share their experiences.
 
Hanging Baskets
In order to brighten up the outside of our school selected members of the school council have planted 2 bright and colourful Spring hanging baskets. When the weather gets a little warmer the Eco council will join the School council to plant Summer baskets!


MP
We recently met with Alok Sharma our local MP. We quizzed him about what it is like to be a member of parliment and what Westminster was like.
We even managed to get into the local paper! He also invited us to the houses of parliment.
 
Jubilee Garden
School Council have just ordered some fantastic new things for our Jubilee Garden courtesy of FOM, keep an eye out for the grand opening sometime in the summer term!!!

Star Pupil Award
By popular demand the Character Award is back but under a new name STAR PUPIL. Our first lot of star pupils have just been voted in. If you want a chance at being a STAR PUPIL make sure you follow our 3 school rules (these can be found in LS, MS, US and the big hall) and you make good choices.

Painting the Playground
The Friends of Moorlands are collecting Wish tokens from the Reading Post, our School Councillors are going to be activly encouraging parents to bring in thier tokens to help get out playground re-painted!!!
