Student Leadership Programme
Student Voice, Leadership and Action is an integral part of Stroud High School.
As an 11-18 school, sixth form students have an important role as senior students. There are specific roles that students get appointed to:
- Head Girl
- Deputy Head Girl
- House Leader
- Deputy House Leader
- Prefect
- Sixth Form Council
In 2011/12, we are launching a pilot Student Leadership Programme. As well as providing students with opportunities for leadership within the school, the programme aims at developing leadership skills and preparing students for the future. Students who enrol on the programme will be expected to take on a position of responsibility with the school, lead projects, and attend workshops on the following topics:
- Time Management
- Project Management
- Presentations and Media Skills
- Understanding Organisations
- Recognising Leadership Styles
- Leadership behaviour
- Motivation Theory
Students will complete a portfolio to demonstrate where they have met the standards. |
