Curriculum Committee
This committee is responsible for overseeing the teaching and learning within the school, and with the make-up of the curriculum. It receives reports from members of staff on their subjects or areas of specific responsibility. It regularly reviews the past examination results and those projected for the future, in order to contribute to the raising of attainment standards within the school. It monitors and reviews the school policies relating to teaching and learning, and the curriculum. It receives reports from governors who have visited the school to monitor particular activities. Certain governors may from time-to-time be appointed as ‘links’ with the different stages within the school – Foundation, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. Others may have have responsibility for particular areas, such as Special Educational Needs.
