This term we will be focusing on the following things in these areas of learing:
Literacy
- Poetry: Using our senses
- Stories with patterned language including those from other cultures
Maths
- Counting groups of objects accurately
- Writing numbers correctly and in sequence
- Naming 2D shapes and 3D solids
- Recognising coins and their values
Science
- Sounds, including designing and making our own musical instruments
ICT
- Text entry including changing the size and colour of the font
Geography and History
- Our local area: We will be designing our own town and making a model of it
Art and Design Technology
- Cutting, tearing, ripping and sticking skills to create collages inspired by Paul Klee and Henri Matisse
- Creating buildings for our new town
RE and Citizenship
- Celebrations, including Guru Nanak's birthday and Bonfire Night
- Relationships: This will include exploring the characteristics of a friend and skills to cope with and work through problems in a friendship
