| COMMITTEE TERMS OF REFERENCE | Curriculum & Staffing To ensure that: The curriculum is in keeping with the LEA policy and the aims of the school. There is a forum for the discussion of the pay, conditions and support of staff. All aspects of the National Curriculum are delivered. Only staff with approved qualifications are used. Pupils are prepared adequately for the statutory tests. Pupils with SEN are identified and taught appropriately. A statement about the provision of Sex education in the School is produced and monitored. The correct procedure is followed in the event of a complaint to the school. Pupil disciplinary issues, including exclusions are discussed.
Health, Safety & Premises To ensure the safety of the school and the health and safety of all within it, whether working or visiting, in accordance with all the relevant legislation and the advice and guidance of Surrey County Council. To monitor the maintenance of all the required documentation. To survey the premises, at least one per term, for risk. To progress safety remedial work within resource availability. To approve plans of new buildings and monitor progress.
Finance & Strategic Planning To provide advice to the governors about the financial management of the school. To monitor receipts and expenditure against forecasts. To monitor financial control. To ensure that expenditure does not exceed available resources. To report any significant variation between projected budgets and actual expenditure. To review the utilisation of resources including funding the Development Plan. To formulate a budget plan with the advice of the school. To ensure that all financial guidelines and procedures are adhered to.
