Home to School Transport
As you may be aware, the County Council is cutting funding for selective and faith schools with effect from September 2012. This will impact on both Marling School and Stroud High School as home to school transport for all grammar schools is entirely discretionary.
Please note that the LA proposes to phase in the changes. This will not therefore affect students who are currently in Year 7 upwards for whom current arrangements will continue until they complete their Year 11 studies. However it will impact current Year 6 students (or those in earlier years) who will not receive support for the duration of their studies.
In the menu to the left you will find various documents regarding school transport, including a list of the existing bus routes together with contact details for the appropriate bus companies - the majority of transport providers can be flexible when it comes to planning future routes, so please contact them if you do not see your district listed.
As we recieve new information we will update this area of the site.
