Children in Need
Welcome back after the short break. I hope you all enjoyed the fine weather we had. During the week the badminton court was marked onto the hall floor and minor painting repairs were completed.
Children in Need is on 18th November this year and the theme once again is spots. Every child is asked to dress up in something spotty. If it is not spotty then it is school uniform. If you have nothing spotty remember you can paint or stick spots on an old T shirt or trousers. We are then going to see how far we can travel through the new school with our coin trail. If each child can bring in as many coins as possible we will start the trail at the front door and lay coins in a line along the top corridor then back along the bottom corridor through the hall and onto the playground. Each class will have time in the morning to lay their coins. We hope to reach the lower playground! Funds raised are of course sent to the children in need charity.
Children are also invited to draw or write about their favourite spot in the world. This can be completed as homework and the results will be displayed in the hall. All pictures and writing to be brought into school on the 18th November.
New pupils. If you have a child expecting to start school in September please ensure you have registered your interest as the admissions brochure is now in school and will be sent out this week to parents who have expressed interest. Please note applications must be in by 15th January 2012.
Our new Rainbow class has settled very well into school and seem to be enjoying school life.
Congratulations to all pupils and staff that participated in the Mini Youth Games last year. This has resulted in the school achieving 2nd place in the Best Small School Award.
Clubs - Term 2 clubs will be the same as Term 1 |
