Health & Social Care

Why?

This course is for students interested in a career within the health, social care or early years’ sectors. It is essential that students are prepared to embrace a variety of learning styles and fully participate in all aspects of the course. A mature approach to independent study is required and students are encouraged to develop their attitudes and values whilst respecting the views of others. Students use a wide variety of resources, including current practitioners in all sectors of the subject as well as the internet and a range of course text books to support their studies and help them gain a valuable insight into professions within the context of the subject, along with work experience when necessary to support their vocational studies. Both courses will be awarded grades from pass to distinction* with UCAS points ranging from 16 for a pass in the Extended Certificate to 112 for distinction* in the Diploma.
