KS4 Science

We offer three different KS4 courses to allow every pupil to pursue a course that is suitable for their ability and learning style. Two of the courses follow a ‘traditional’ pattern. Scientific content is taught in a series of short modules. Assessment is based on examinations and controlled assessment called Investigative Student Assessments (ISA’s).

For more information see KS4 (Years 10 & 11)

KS5

At KS5 we offer all three Sciences- Biology, Chemistry and Physics following the OCR specification.

In year 12 students have 6 periods of their Science and 5 periods in year 13. All three courses involve module exams at January and June, plus controlled assessments completed in class time.

Theory is balanced with practical work, including field trips for the A’ level Biologists.
