Archway History Department teaches students valuable skills. These skills are useful in many day to day situations.
Students are taught to interpret sources, and as a result are able to tell the difference between a bias opinion and an actual fact. They are also able to work out what leads to these differences in interpretations.
Not only this, students are taught how to make links between certain factors, and what their outcome would be. This is especially useful for students who later take business management, computing or A level science.
History plays a key point in the world today, students are taught some of the most darkest parts of the world’s history, helping to ensure that in many ways history does not repeat itself.
Students will find their teachings in core history very valuable in other subjects, such as human evolution in Biology or the Holocaust in Religious Studies.
