ICT Teaching:

Information & Communication Technology (ICT) forms part of the National Curriculum and is offered to all Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils as a subject in its own right, and across the curriculum to all pupils in subject areas where it is relevant and appropriate.

ICT forms a major part of a pupil's learning experience in school and its use as a learning tool and for the preparation of work is encouraged in all subjects.
  • Key Stage 3: all pupils have one period of ICT per week. ICT teaching groups are small enough to guarantee each pupil access to their own computer during lessons.
  • Key Stage 4: BTEC ICT and GCSE computing are available as Key Stage 4 option choices from September 2010 onwards.
