GCSE Examination Results
Congratulations to all students who have taken formal examinations this summer. Year 11 students have achieved another very good set of results with 97% of pupils achieving 5+A*-C grades and 88% of pupils achieving 5+A*-C including English and maths.

Welcome to Thornden School
Thornden is an 11-16, mixed comprehensive school, with 1400 pupils on roll. We are a specialist Arts College with Science as our second specialism. We are pleased that the two contrasting specialisms provide a balance to our curriculum offering.
Conference Room
The Conference Room is now ready for use. It is a wonderful facility and will provide an excellent space for a range of activities.

Leading Edge School
As a result of our outstanding Ofsted judgement, we were categorised as a High Performing Specialist School and offered a further specialism. We have opted to become a Leading Edge School and have been awarded that status from April 2008 onwards.
Ofsted - Outstanding
The Ofsted Report (June 2007) judged Thornden to be Grade 1 outstanding, in every single area – a quite exceptional outcome.
