Proposed School Trips
In response to a suggestion from some parents we have put together the programme of school trips for the next year or so, to give parents and carers the opportunity to consider what might be on offer to their sons, what is really useful in terms of school subjects and what might just be wonderful opportunity. We realise that some trips are very costly and we have included only those which will cost in excess of £100. It must also be understood that none of these trips is guaranteed and others may be added as opportunities, interests and expertise arise.
Please remember that if a trip seems to offer something really important for your son but the cost is prohibitive you are very welcome to contact the Head to ask for help. The Hitchin Education Foundation, for example, is really generous in offering financial help, managed by the Head and it is all done in the strictest confidence. We hope this draft programme helps you to make decisions about trips over the time your son is at the school and you are welcome to contact the person shown as the lead teacher if you need more information.
