Learning Platform/CLC/Uniservity
Uniservity is the supplier of our learning platform or CLC. In college we tend to refer to the areas of the site which provide teaching, learning and other key information as Uniservity. The link from the home page is "Full Site".
The philosophy of the site is that the majority of the resources are public and can be accessed by anyone using the site without a password.
However, to enjoy the access to staff only parts of the site you need a user name and password. This is available by phoning 5695 or email website.
Once you can log in the user panel will appear on the right of the screen, this gives you facilities like a task manager, your own bookmarking section, a personal calendar, messaging and a personal web page and personal resource storage and management.
Also available are class management, setting work on line, marking work on line, class blogs, class forums, surveys etc. You can also set up work to share with primary liaison partners or other secondary schools.
Tuition is also available on a group or individual basis after college on a Monday for the more complex issues or on other days for more straightforward ones.
If you just want to load a resource to your dept area simply contact the number above and it can be done for you. We can load resources for students or staff. Resource types include: word/print docs, diagrams, excel files, links to other sites, sound files, video files, flash animations etc.
