 Pupil Premium
In April 2011 the Government introduced a pupil premium to raise achievement among disadvantaged children.  The allocation for 2011-2012 was £13,760.  This funding enables the school to supply additional support and equal opportunities to help all children reach their potential.

During the academic year 2011/2012 South Lake Primary School used their pupil premium to:
  • provide one-to-one tuition for targeted children
  • provide equal access to out of school life enhancing opportunities
  • provide equal access to musical tuition to broaden children’s experiences
  • purchase targeted resources to support children
  • provide additional teaching assistant support.
Attainment and progress of these children is closely monitored at both class and whole school level to ensure they achieve their potential.

A new allocation of £24,000 was received for 2012-2013 and the school plan to continue to spend the money as described in the bullets points above because of the positive impact on attainment achieved in 2012.
