Religious Studies – ‘The Science of Life’
In the world of work employers look for someone with an enquiring mind, an appreciation of different viewpoints and an ability to come to clear, balanced decisions.
These skills can all be developed through studying religions. RS is like the science of life, helping you to understand the world around you.
RS provides the student with the chance to study issues and questions that matter: What’s the value of a life? What beliefs do you live by and how do they affect your everyday decisions? In studying religion using a concept based methodology, the pupil has the opportunity to develop their own thoughts and ideas about moral and ethical issues and questions of belief.
The RS Department can be found at the top of the school opposite the Geography rooms.
