Homework
Reading - Your child should have two books in their book bag. The book with the coloured sticker is their individual reading book. The book with the SLS sticker is a library book and is not necessarily intended for independent reading but for sharing with an adult. Your child will have a reading journal. Please could you sign the journal if they have read with you. The reading book is only changed once they have read the book to an adult at either home or school.
Numeracy - Your child will bring home a numeracy game every week. They will also have a numeracy information folder. We will update this folder every week with information about the work we have covered during the week.
Spellings - These are sent home every Friday. Your child will have six words to learn for a spell check the following Wednesday. They are also asked to write a sentence for each of their words. We are happy for parents to give their children ideas for their sentences and model good use of language for their child but they are expected to write their sentences independently.
