  • Use the website to see what films are available. It is possible to have themed seasons but to start with I have chosen a few to create interest.
  • Although the DVDs are for film club it is possible for departments to order films and to show them too.  There is some curriculum guidance on the website.
  • FILMCLUB is designed to be an inter active experience so that students ,once they are members, can submit film reviews and enter competitions. The best reviews are chosen to be put onto the internet and win prizes. There are also prizes for the competitions.Students will need to come to FILMCLUB to be given a special code so that they can go inter active "Access all areas".This also tells them what's on in their local area.
  • The English dept might be able to do a session on reviewing.
  • FILMCLUB expect that we go out to the local cinema at least once a term to view a film.I believe that the big chain cinemas will have an agreement with FILMCLUB and will show films during the day and at lower rates than normal.
  • We can request a VIP visit. So far there have been visits from high profile actors who live or are working in the area and also from film directors who have explained how they put the film together (how they created magic in Harry Potter for example.)
  • I hope this helps .Watch out for posters!
