Read our students' account of the trip!
Well, on the 20th March we left at 1:30am to begin our journey to Spain. The journey was long but enjoyable and we finally arrived. We were expecting average weather, but arrived to a warm and sunny 20 degree beach. It was beautiful! The locals took to us straight away and despite the pool being too cold to go in, we were already enjoying ourselves. During our stay, we visited Mijas, Granada and Malaga. They were all so cultural and we met so many friendly locals who helped us with our Spanish. One night, we even went to do some flamenco and show off some of our Gangnam style. The best bit was when one of the girls got pulled up to help in the performance with the professionals. We got the opportunity to go to the Picasso museum and a science museum! In Mijas, we even visited a bull ring and (to the delight of the girls) got to do a lot of shopping! The food in Spain was so yummy and everyone tried something new (a lot of ice cream included.) Overall, our trip to Spain was amazing and such an experience that will help us to understand the culture and the language. Many thanks to the teachers that took us as we wouldn’t have gone without them! It was just so much fun and I think the locals will miss us! |
