Welcome to the home page of Skinner Street School's Learning Platform.
2012 promises to be a very exciting year for the children. Not only are we celebrating the London Olympics, but also the Queen's Golden Jubilee and the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens. Look out for some of the events planned later on in the year to mark these special celebrations.
We continue to develop the good links we have with Mid Kent College, the University of Kent and our fabulous 'Story Spinner' Phil McDermott in order to offer the children a wide range of experiences and learning opportunites. We are always keen for parents and carers to be involved as much as possible with their child's learning - so please talk to your child's teacher if you are able to contribute to our curriculum.
I look forward to working with you and the children to ensure Skinner Street continues on its improvement journey. In the words of the children themselves;
