A Business and Enterprise College
Edgbarrow School is proud of its specialist school status in Business and Enterprise. This specialism adds real value to our students, who benefit from a focus on Maths and ICT. This is particularly relevant in an area like the Thames Valley. We are very pleased with the positive contribution that our specialism has had on the whole school, in the classroom through subjects, our enterprise events and closer partnerships with the community.
Our specialism has brought benefits to all students by providing interactive technologies that stimulate and enrich learning. Our students now have access to laptops, interactive white boards and learning networks. These learning tools engage and challenge individuals at school and at home.
As a Business and Enterprise specialist school we have also been able to broaden our curriculum to prepare students for the fast-changing world of work. We offer a range of Business courses to suit a variety of learners to develop skills and competences, in purpose-built classrooms.
The community is an integral part of our work as a specialist school. It has enabled us to forge excellent links with primary schools, local businesses and the wider community.
