THE SCIENCE DEPARTMENT MISSION
To ensure that all children gain a knowledge and understanding of scientific concepts and their application. As well as developing skills and attitudes which will allow them to make informed decisions and apply their knowledge confidently in the scientific and technological world in which we live.
This is to be achieved by :-

Key Stages
The Curriculum offered in school encompasses the National Curriculum and ensures students apply their knowledge to everyday situations wherever possible. The curriculum is delivered in modules drawn from all aspects of Science as appropriate. A variety of paths through the modules in any year exist.
The curriculum aims to develop not only Scientific knowledge, practical investigative skills and concepts but also develop the ability to analyse data, understand how new ideas develop, be able to relate Science to their own lives and use their knowledge to make informed decisions and the curiosity to continue to learn more about the world in which they live.
