Hello and welcome to the Itzamna homepage.
On this site you will find useful informtion about Itzamna House.
We are named Itzamna after the founder of the Mayan culture. He brought his people maize and cocoa and taught them script, healing, and the use of calendars. As the bringer of culture he became the state-god of the Mayan empire. As the moon-god he rules over the night. Itzamna is also called 'God D' and bears the title of 'Lord of Knowledge'. He is a son of Hunab Ku and with Ixchel he is the father of the Bacabs. His attributes are the snake and the mussel.

SPORTS DAY
As most of you may already know, Itzamna are the first proud keepers of the House Sports day shield!! Overall it was a great day with excelling performances from everybody in Itzamna. We were also supported by our new house games captains, Nick Saroka and Will Jones! |
Leavers:
We are sorry to say that at the end of this year we have had to say goodbye to part of our team. Mr Morris and Miss Rickards have both left to move on in other jobs. Next year though, we hope to welcome two new teachers, Miss Harris, who will take over as IBM's tutor, and Mr Yateman, who will take over as IMER's tutor. we wish all these teachers the very best of luck! | |
