The object of this year’s expedition will be to climb one of Peru’s highest mountains, which is located in the same region as Simon Yates had his epic climbing experience which resulted in the book and film ‘Touching the void’
The trip will last 3 weeks with 10 days of trekking and 4 days climbing to the summit of Mount Pisco which is 5752m high.
We have learnt a lot from our trip to the Himalayas this year and I believe this will be an even greater experience than that.
If you are interested please put your name down on the list in the Youth Office and we will pass on more details to you. There is a launch evening in December when all your questions will be answered. No money will be asked for until well into next year. You will need to be in years 10-12 NOW to be able to apply for the trip. If we have more than 15 applicants there will be a selection process.
