Who are we? Currently in the department we have Mrs Barber, Miss Everard, Mr French and Mrs Hunt.
What do we teach?
Year 5 topics: Measuring skills, Light, Sound, Materials, Changing Materials, Animals.
Year 6 topics: Plants, Rocks and Soils, Habitats, Earth in Space, Forces
Year 7 topics: Living Things, Environmental Chemistry, Earth and Energy, Changes and reactions, Forces, Space.
Year 8 topics: Electromagnets, Elements and Compounds, Human Physiology, Ecology, Light and Sound Forensic Solutions.
At KS2 we follow the QCA scheme of work, and at KS3 we are starting to adopt the Exploring Science scheme which is underpinned with How Science Works.
