Attendance:

It is of the utmost importance that children attend school regularly and are punctual. It is the parents responsibility to inform the school by 9.30am if their child cannot attend. Holidays in term time are not authorised.

Behaviour:

Good behaviour and discipline in pupils should come from a partnership between home and school. Pupils are expected to conform to the school rules and parents are expected to support the school in encouraging good behaviour and discipline. A copy of our school rules and Behaviour Policy is available from the school office.

Homework:

Homework is set in line with DfES guidelines. Parents are expected to support the school’s homework policy, a copy of which is available from the school office.

Communication:

Good communication between home and school is essential if the partnership is to flourish.

The school communicates to parents through the following:

Regular newsletters and individual class notes.

Prompt replies and return of signed letters by parents.

Consultation sessions.

An information notice board.

Formal and informal meetings

Written reports on children’s progress

Workshops, information meetings to explain new or revised practises

Parents are welcome into school to discuss any aspect of their child’s work or development with staff, at a mutually convenient time.
