Elm Grove is an extended school.
We offer:
A varied menu of activities
There are a number of enrichment activities or clubs available to children at different times in the school day. The activities include: football, recorder, science, music, cross-country, rugby, cookery, art, samba, salsa, gardening and drama. Enrichment activities are usually overscribed and reflect the positive ethos of the school day. The school is able to provide opportunities for children to develop their potential in music, art and sport through these activities. Children are fitter and healthier because of their daily diet and programme of exercise and activity. These activities increase the sense of belonging and achievement in the school and greatly impact on the learning environment.
Childcare
Elm Grove Breakfast and Out of School Clubs provide childcare for working parents from 8:00 a.m. before school and 6:00 p.m. after school. At the clubs children and staff work together to create a positive, child-centered environment for all to enjoy. The Club also provides care and activities during the Easter and summer breaks.
