Thank you
for visiting our school website.
At
Wootton Community Primary School we want our children to grow up and learn in a
happy, orderly and safe environment where there are high expectations of both
staff and children.
We
believe that education is most effective when home and school work closely
together and so we arrange many occasions when parents can meet the school
staff. These take many forms, such as information sessions, parents to school
week, community lunches, and parents evenings.
We are supported by committed parent volunteers who support at a range
of activities throughout the week. Every Friday we send home our weekly
newsletter and this website is regularly updated.
We work
hard to make Wootton Community Primary School exciting and attractive because
children enjoy learning in a stimulating environment. Many visitors comment on
our welcoming and colourful school. Each
class follows a topic based approach to their learning, and further details can
be found on the class pages. We encourage as much first hand learning as
possible and feel it is important to incorporate a visits and visitors to
enhance the children’s learning.
There is
an on-site pre-school, Little Herons Childcare, which also provides breakfast,
after school and holiday care for school aged children. We also offer a wide
range of after school clubs for the children to attend, these change on a half
termly basis.
I am always very happy to welcome prospective families to our
school, and appointments can be arranged by telephoning the school secretary on
01983 882505.
