This term, our topic is The Journey of Life.
The children will be taking part in a range of interactive and engaging activities focusing on the rites of passage in Christianity and Hindusim. They will also be thinking about special events in their own lives. They will be visiting a Church and a Hotel to see the preparations for a baptism and a marriage ceremony. The children will also enjoy having visitors into the classroom to talk to them. They will be ending their topic in July with a re-enactment of a marriage ceremony!

Ways to help your child(ren) at home:

Listen to your child read daily and discuss with them the characters, settings, plot and features of the text

Help your child to practise their times tables (in particular their x3 and x4 tables!)

Practise spellings of high frequency words such as 'they', 'are' and 'our'

Ask your child to write a short piece of writing including their targets
