In the Science Faculty the teachers aim to provide a friendly, well-structured and safe learning environment to allow students to achieve their best or even better. Teachers aim to prepare students to increase their confidence in their potential by setting challenging learning activities, develop thinking skills and account for a range of learning styles.
Science is a human activity carried out by humans.
The idea of Science is well summarised by John Gribbin (2003):
'Science is a personal activity. With very few exceptions, scientists throughout history have plied their craft not through a lust for glory or material reward, but in order to satisfy their own curiosity about the way the world works.'
