Welcome to the ICT Department at Windsor School
The Department aims to provide students with a broad and balanced ICT experience focused on the ICT National Curriculum. We support students in gaining the appropriate ICT skills, knowledge and understanding to be confident and successful learners. We promote development of critical awareness in order to enable students to evaluate the benefits of ICT and its impact on society.
Our well resourced and stimulating environment gives students the competence and confidence in ICT to enhance all aspects of their learning experience across the curriculum, adding value to the learning process. We aim to provide a range of learning and teaching and assessment styles which will motivate and be specific to students’ individual needs.
ICT empowers the students’ education and develops self confidence. It allows each individual access to a flexible syllabus that meets the needs of all learners. In encouraging independent learning as well as group work participation and effective communication skills we strive to enable students to be positive, happy, respectful and useful members of a modern society where ICT has become an important part of our daily lives.
