Windsor School

Windsor School > Departments > Maths

In Windsor School we are proud of our tradition of success.  In an outstanding school we are an outstanding department. We have had excellent results in the Mathematics department for many years. Our results are always well above the national average; over 80% of our students achieve a C grade or higher at GCSE. We always push every student to achieve their full potential.

Mathematics at Windsor School is taught in ability sets based on each student’s current National Curriculum level. We constantly monitor students’ progress through their work in lessons and homework. We also formally test students twice a year and where necessary move them to a more appropriate set.

Mathematics is a skill that we all need to acquire to be able to cope with the demands of everyday life. It is our aim to ensure that all our students are well prepared to deal with all mathematical situations they may encounter in their present and future lives.
