Welcome to Windsor School's Citizenship and PSHE Department
Students are taught in mixed ability situations usually in tutor groups and investigate a variety of modules which cover aspects of Citizenship, traditional health and relationship issues and financial matters. Courses in both KS3 and KS4 allow students to appreciate the changing world of work, consider their futures and undertsand the sorts of options open to them in order to achieve future economic well being.
The Department work with outside agencies to assist the delivery of sex education and helath related issues. The Army and RAF Career Teams visit the school and provide problem solving activities which develop a range of skills whilst building team work.
Students investigate a topic and cover a core content of knowledge using a series of key questions. Each module allows students to choose an item of work from a menu of activities in order to consolidate their existing knowledge or extend it in a way which suits their preferred learning style. We aim to encourage students to utilise their ICT skills and present interesting and exciting outcomes which engage other students.
