Welcome to the Music Department Homepage

Class music lessons are part of the curriculum for boys in Years 7-9. Our aim is to develop your son's skills in performing, composing and understanding music. Although it is a practical subject, in which every lesson involves making music, he will be taught the basics of music theory. He will learn to read and use music notation and how to develop his musical ideas into his own compositions.

The music department offers a wide variety of extra-curricular activities in playing and singing. Pupils are encouraged to join all groups including jazz groups, rock bands, choirs and orchestras.
