Buddy Mentoring Scheme.

Peer support for students from Y7-Y11.

  • Y12 Buddy Mentors supported by: Gill Duckham, Connexions, Mags Robinson, Learning Mentor and Y13 students
  • Students may be invited by their Head of Year or they may self-refer through their form tutor.
  • Students usually meet with their Buddy once a week for 10-15minutes.
  • The new scheme will be launched after October Half Term

 

Small Group Work Sessions

 
Short courses designed to encourage students to strive for personal success.

The courses are tailored to suit each group and are themed around the students' interests.

Students identify their personal strengths and are introduced to tools and concepts to help them overcome personal challenges around self esteem and motivation.

 
With Mags Robinson, Learning Mentor ,Sue Wheeler, School Nurse, Gill Duckham, Connexions Advisor

    

By invitation of Head of Year.

Dates and times flexible to suit students.
 

Learning Mentor 1:1 Support

 

Students may be referred to the Learning Mentor by their Head of Year if they are having difficulties in a certain subject area or if they are not reaching their predicted targets

 
 Gifted and Talented Buddy Mentoring Scheme.

Peer support for G&T students from Y7-Y11.

Y12 G&T Buddy Mentors supported by G&T Coordinator.
 Students may be invited by their Head of Year or they may self-refer through their form tutor.

The new scheme will be launched after October Half Term.

 

 

Primary Transition – ‘Step up to Brookfield’

Support for students who are feeling anxious about moving up to BCS and would benefit from a little support in addition to the usual Primary Liaison events.

With Mags Robinson, Learning Mentor and Sue Wheeler, School Nurse.

By invitation of Mrs Dafforne, Assistant Head KS3 and new Head of Year 7 

Students are invited to a half day session during the Summer Break prior to them starting in Y7
