The Hong Kong Model United Nations (HKMUN) is a simulation of the work of the United Nations Organisation, usually of the General Assembly or Security Council, but also of its committees and agencies.

  Students role-play as delegates for a country other than their own. They debate issues under UN parliamentary rules, taking their stance from the countries which they represent. Students are expected to represent, with fidelity, their country’s position and not their own personal view.

HKMUN will take place at Renaissance College on the 22nd-23rd of February 2013. 
This year our school KCCIS is representing the country, Georgia. 
A beautiful country located between Western Asia and Eastern Europe.
It is a small country but definitely a very interesting country to research on!

The final dates for HKMUN 2012-13 are as follows:

- Saturday November 10th 2012 (9am-12pm) - 1st Caucus - KGV

- Saturday January 19th 2013 (9am-1pm) - 2nd Caucus - FIS

- Wednesday 6th February 2013 (1pm-4pm) - 3rd Caucus - VSA

- Friday 22nd February & Saturday 23rd February 2013 - HKMUN Conference -
Renaissance College

The Student Board will be meeting frequently throughout this time, with the first
meeting still to be confirmed, but somewhere between the end of August and early
September.

The cost per delegate will be $500.

The venue for the HKMUN Banquet will be decided in time to be confirmed at the 2nd
Caucus.
