Our Governing Body

The role of the Governing Body is a shared responsibility with the Headteacher to enable the school to provide the best possible education for the children in its care.

The Governors have responsibility for the effective management of the school acting within the framework of national legislation and the policies of the LA.

As well as being concerned with the ethos and aims of the school they contribute to the management of the finances, personnel, curriculum and the buildings and grounds.

The Governing Body meets twice a term and the minutes of the meetings are available in the school office.

Our Governing Body is made up of staff, parents and representatives from our Local Authority and the wider community and they are elected to serve for a term of four years.

Annually the Governing Body are responsible for updating the online School Profile which gives parents information about the school.

If you would like to find out more about the role please ask the Headteacher or any Governor.
