Getting Ready To Start School

At Stamshaw Infant School we understand what an important step it is for you and your child to be starting school. We take time to get to know your child before they start with us in the autumn as we believe that this will help your child become comfortable with the start of their new journey into school life. Information evenings and story sessions will help to familiarise you and your child with the school and gives you both the opportunity to meet the teaching staff. Our teachers will visit your child in Pre School, and in September the teachers and teaching assistants like to visit you and your child at home. The children love this visit and many refer to it fondly throughout the year.
